Centre for Environmental Change and Communities

The Research Centre for Environmental Change and Communities brings together QMUL expertise on the science, implications, and responses to environmental change relevant to communities in the UK and globally.

News! We'll include some details of our new research project here soon: Resilience of Anthropocene Coasts and Communities (RACC): assessing and responding to urban and post-industrial coastal risks.

Anyone from HSS is encouraged to contact Dr Andy Russell for more information about the Centre's activities and to propose events supported by the Centre, particularly around:

  • Hosting seminars with internal or external speakers focused on the Centre theme
  • Hosting sandpit events for funding calls focused on the Centre theme
  • Support for small workshops run by ECRs and PhD students with key external figures in their fields to enhance their careers

We will announce a Centre Interdisciplinary Student Research Bursary soon that will support a UG or PGT student to work on a short project with a Centre-theme.
