The Festival of Communities is a collaboration between Queen Mary, University of London and local community groups and organisations. It brings together people across the borough to explore living and learning in Tower Hamlets, building connections within our community.
have visited the Festival of Communities since it started in 2016
The activities at the Festival of Communities are designed for local families to learn something new or try something different, and to provide an opportunity to meet and interact with people they haven’t met before.
The activities showcase the best of health, medical, science, engineering, humanities and social science projects and research from Queen Mary and local organisations and services in Tower Hamlets. These varied activities range from hands-on experiments, sharing stories and views, watching demonstrations and performances and trying out fun new things.
The Festival is an engaging and exciting event which fosters innovation, creativity and collaboration between Queen Mary, our local residents and community groups and organisations. — Professor Colin Bailey, President and Principal, Queen Mary University of London
