The Students’ Union offers a wide variety of sport, activities, events and campaigns that are accessible for every student and staff member at Queen Mary. We offer opportunities for complete beginners all the way through to talented athletes.
We provide programmes designed to improve your mental and physical health, alongside opportunities to compete locally, nationally and internationally. You can gain qualifications and enhance your employability opportunities through our Leadership Academy, join our gym community, and get involved in lots of activities throughout the year.

Qmotion is the Students' Union's Sport and Fitness Centre, located on the Mile End campus. It offers three floors of amazing facilities including a fully-equipped gym, female-only gym, studio spaces, squash court and sports hall.
There's a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment where you can exercise, make friends and de-stress. All members can also access a free personalised training programme every 6 weeks from our fully qualified fitness instructors. Plus, there's also over 20 daily group exercise classes a week including yoga, circuits, HIIT and zumba.
There's a range of great value memberships available with no joining fees.

Get Active is our recreational sports programme open to everyone. Whether you want to try something new or continue with one of your favourite sports with no commitment required, Get Active is the best place to do so in a fun, social and relaxed environment. We offer turn up and play sessions, structured courses, one-off events and much more! No specialist equipment or clothing is required to take part.
