We have loads going on to welcome you to Queen Mary, so make sure you check out all our event information!

Queen Mary welcome events

Join us on Tuesday 17 Sept, any time between 12pm and 4pm, at the Nest in the Students' Union Hub (Mile End) for our Wellbeing Fair. Learn all about the services that are available at Queen Mary and in Tower Hamlets to help you stay safe, healthy, and well. 

International Students are welcome to drop into our International Student Welcome event on Wednesday 18 Sept, 12pm to 4pm at Mile End.

Library Inductions

Everything you ever wanted to know about Library Services but were too afraid to ask. Come along to one of sessions during Welcome Week to find out about our libraries and everything you need to get started. You may even win some fantastic prizes!​

When: 16-20 September, two sessions: 11am & 1pm

Where: Mile End Library: Ground Floor Quiet Study Room (16, 17, 19 & 20 Sept) 1st Floor Teaching Room (18 Sept)

School and department inductions

Check out your school's timetable to find out when and where your induction and school social events are, where you can meet fellow students on your course and get to know your school.

Students' Union Events

The Students’ Union are running a packed programme of events throughout the academic year. You can view the official events programme on the Students’ Union website. Check back regularly as new events are added all the time!

During Welcome Week, join the Students' Union's Welcome Fair across both Whitechapel and Mile End campuses. You'll get to meet lots of our Clubs and Societies, student services and snap up freebies and discounts from visiting brands and businesses!

Get Active

Get Active is our recreational sports programme open to everyone. We offer turn up and play sessions, structured courses, one-off events and much more! No specialist equipment or clothing is required to take part.
