Summer School Social programme

Queen Mary Summer School Students enjoying an East End Art Walk Tour

To ensure that you’re fully immersed in London life, the Queen Mary Summer School has also curated a calendar of social activities to accompany your studies.

We hope you'll take advantage of the full London experience against the vibrant multicultural backdrop of the East End - from traditional British cuisine to exclusive art tours, there’s plenty to do!

Alongside your own adventures, taking part in our social programme  gives you the opportunity to build friendships with your fellow Summer School students and experience the city from a local perspective.

The social programme is a mix of free and paid for events. The paid for programme will be available to buy on a first-come-first-served basis via our Eventbrite page.

What’s on offer?

We want you to feel at home here the moment you arrive, so there’ll be a complimentary event taking place as part of our Welcome Programme in Week 1, as well as a complimentary farewell event so you can celebrate together with all the friends you have made on the programme.

We’ll give you practical advice about living and studying in London, and provide an optional paid for programme that will allow you get to see some of London's most famous sites and explore the wider country.
