Students from across North America and the Caribbean have long been making Queen Mary University of London their home away from home.
The rigour and recognised quality of our academic programmes, and the opportunities to live and study in the heart of historic East London, mean that if you are studying with us for one year or for five years, there will always be more to explore in and outside the classroom. Over 350 students from across North America and the Caribbean joined us on degree-length studies for the academic year 2021/2022.
We know that there is a lot of research to do in finding the right fit for your university studies. Our regional pages will help you to gather more information about the University, what you need to apply, and the opportunities it has opened to some of our alumni from North America and the Caribbean.
We are proud to partner with organizations that help to financially support students studying with us including Chevening, the Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships, the Fulbright Commission and the Marshall Scholarships. You can find more information on scholarships, including our searchable database, on the Scholarships page.
Many of our students from North America use government loans to fund their studies. While the administration of some of these programmes differs when students use them overseas, we have lots of helpful guidance on how to utilize the programmes here:
If you have any more questions, please do contact our Regional Manager, Kate Glaser. Kate is based in the American Midwest and travels frequently so please check our page for details of any upcoming events where you can meet Kate and learn more about the University.
Our International Student Recruitment team works most closely with students who are looking to study their full degree with us. If you are a student who is interested in coming to Queen Mary as part of a study abroad programme, you can find more information about studying abroad in London from our Global Opportunities team.
