What are the core values/themes of the programmes?

PGCAP and CILT are designed with Queen Mary's values (IPACE) at their heart.

  • Inclusive: Inclusivity runs throughout the programmes as a central theme, and underpins all of our educational development support. Inclusive design, social justice and intercultural learning are all key themes.
  • Proud: We are proud to support colleagues’ continuing professional development as critically reflective educators.
  • Ambitious: We seek to model best practice and integrate the latest educational research into our offering, supporting participants to critically engage with their roles as dual professionals.
  • Collegial: We place emphasis on co-creation and the development of a community of practice among participants. Collaboration and learning from others plays a central role in our development approach.
  • Ethical: Research and academic ethics are vital to our programmes. We support colleagues to also consider wider social contexts for practice such as educational for sustainable development and social justice.
