Overall student satisfaction at Queen Mary University of London has climbed to 88 per cent, up from 86 per cent in 2014. The results of the 2015 National Student Survey (NSS) ranks QMUL as joint first in London and in the top ten of Russell Group universities for student satisfaction.
Students’ overall satisfaction with teaching is at 88 per cent, one percentage point above the national average. Students praised staff in their enthusiasm for their subjects (87 per cent), and their ability to make the subject intellectually stimulating (88 per cent) and to explain it well (92 per cent).
A large number of our subject areas also feature in the top three in London and above 90 per cent for overall satisfaction:
• Economics: ranked 1st, 94 per cent overall satisfaction• Finance: ranked 1st, 96 per cent overall satisfaction• Physical Geography: ranked 1st, 94 per cent overall satisfaction• French: ranked 1st, 94 per cent overall satisfaction• Film: ranked 1st, 94 per cent overall satisfaction• Physics: ranked 1st, 95 per cent overall satisfaction• Medicine: ranked 1st, 96 per cent overall satisfaction• Human Geography: ranked 2nd, 93 per cent overall satisfaction• History: ranked 2nd, 95 per cent overall satisfaction• Politics: ranked 2nd, 97 per cent overall satisfaction• Dentistry: ranked 2nd, 97 per cent overall satisfaction• Law: ranked joint 3rd, 91 per cent overall satisfaction
