This research primarily aims to contribute to previous linguistic research on epidemics or infectious diseases, by revealing how COVID-19 is presented in the British mainstream media and how the situation of the pandemic is perceived by the people with critical discourse analysis as qualitative method complemented by corpus linguistics to investigate articles quantitatively.
