Part of our training programme, this event is open to postgraduate students across MA, MRes and PhD programmes.
This session will introduce the online corpus tool SketchEngine, and will show how to upload, annotate and manage corpora as well as make use of the various corpora Sketch Engine hosts. It will explore how to conduct a range of corpus techniques on the platform, including collocations, keywords, n-grams, the Word Sketch feature, and corpus comparison tools. It will also cover how to export and visualize data from Sketch Engine in written work. Participants will be able to obtain their own findings about a range of corpus types through the workshop.
