AMPLIFY (A Meaningful Peer-Led Involvement network For Young people)

Principal Investigator: Abigail Thomson

AMPLIFY is a youth-led network for young people aged 16-18 from East London to come together and share their ideas, experiences, and opinions on mental health research. This forum and the discussions held form the basis of early consultations/planning for researchers and investigators who work within Queen Mary University of London, delivering research focused on youth mental health. There are also opportunities to be involved in the analysis and interpretation of research findings which address the issues and experiences of young people.

Meetings are held monthly and focus on a different research project of interest to the group. Young people involved are paid £25 per session and have the chance to learn about youth mental health and share their ideas with researchers who are actively looking to listen to young people’s voices during the different stages of their research.

If you are a young person looking to get involved or find out more, visit our website here.

Or, stay up to date with our monthly newsletter, which shares the latest updates from the group and opportunities to be involved in mental health research at a range of different stages. Sign up here.
