The first focus group for the ABATED study was hosted at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health at Queen Mary University of London on November 2nd 2022. 15 members of the public from diverse backgrounds (including South Asian, Black Caribbean and White) from the Darul Ummah Mosque, Hackney Caribbean Elderly Organisation and NIHR People in Research as well as our ABATED Steering Committee attended this session.
The goal was to obtain feedback on the ABATED study aims, recruitment strategy and study design. We presented the study and facilitated open-ended discussions to gain valuable feedback.
