Energy Management in Action: Energy Saving Case Studies

We are working hard on projects across Queen Mary’s UK campuses to increase energy efficiency through smart planning and cutting-edge technologies. Below are three case studies from recent projects implemented in some of our top energy-consuming buildings.

Graduate Centre

Project Details: This involves optimisation works aimed at baseload reduction i.e. making sure that the heating, cooling and air ventilation is meeting temperature set points.

Electric kWh: 65,000 

Gas kWh: 35,000

Blizard Building

Stage of Works: In progress

Project Details: This involves the installation of meters on 5 MCPs (Mechanical control panels) and connection to 13 Variable Speed Drives.
