The School of International Arbitration (SIA) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) are organising a Joint Arbitration Symposium to be held in London on 8 September 2016. This inaugural annual joint symposium will focus on current trends in Investor-State Arbitration and in particular, Review of Practice and Experience of ICSID Annulment Procedure, the experience and scope for further development of appellate and standing bodies, challenge of arbitrators, transparency of proceedings and the role of tribunals in ensuring legitimacy of the process. The topics will be addressed by an illustrious array of moderators, speakers and commentators while ample time will be left for discussion.
