SIA-WIPO Joint Symposium: Arbitration and Mediation for FinTech Disputes

School of International Arbitration and WIPO Arbitration and Mediation CentreThis year’s annual Joint Symposium is co-organized by the School of International Arbitration, Queen Mary University of London and the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre.

A first panel will discuss current legal issues in the FinTech sector, addressing its challenges and opportunities. A second panel will look at a real-life FinTech matter and consider how potential disputes might be resolved through mediation and arbitration. The event is led by Philipp Groz of Schellenberg Wittmer, Maxi Scherer, Professor of Law at School of International Arbitration Queen Mary University of London and Heike Wollgast, Head IP Disputes Section at the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center.

The event will take place the day before the ASA Swiss Arbitration Association’s annual conference in Zurich on 5 February 2020. The event will be hosted by Schellenberg Wittmer Ltd in collaboration with the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw) at Löwenstrasse 19, Zurich Switzerland.
