Visiting PhD student studying the design of polymer brushes as plasmid delivery system

Profile

Polymer brushes for plasmid delivery

As a scientist, I have been building my academic experience on the study of DNA vaccines to viral diseases such as HIV and Zika virus in experimental mice models, and maternal-fetal interplay immunity. I also working on research projects related to the assessment of immunological mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Currently, I am PhD student in Immunology at University of São Paulo (Brazil) and my project aim to develop a new vaccine approach against Zika virus infection. My future research at QMUL will be focused on new delivery vectors based on polymer brushes, which could be useful for new vaccine technologies.

Interests: reading, cooking, travelling and enjoy time with my nephews and nieces.
