Polymer brush decorated nanoparticles for gene delivery

This project aims at systemic studies of polymer brush decorated nanoparticles, e.g. silica nanoparticles, magnetic nanoparticles, for the application of gene delivery. It includes four main parts, the study of polymer brush properties and behaviours, the interaction of polymer brush with DNA, the cellular uptake mechanism and the gene transfection efficiency.
