“British and Guyanese: Reflections on Memory, Migration, Belonging” is a roundtable discussion with:

  • Dr. Maria del Pilar Kaladeen, Associate Fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies in London, working on the system of indenture in Guyana and its representation in literature.
  • Mr Gee, poet, artist, presenter, and he has most recently been working on poetry and data analytics.
  • Taneisha Teixeira, Guyanese poet based in London, performer of spoken words, and part of the feminist poet group “The Secret Feminist”
  • Dr. Holly Eva Ryan, Reader in International Relations at Queen Mary University of London, co-Director of the Centre for Research on Latin America and the Caribbean (CRoLAC). Her research topics are practical aesthetics, with emphasis on the relationship between sensory experience, power and the political practice(s) of non-state/civil society actors.
