She is exploring Machine Learning approaches to analyse omics and clinical data of trauma patients and gain insights in the hyperacute window that characterises the first hours after injury. Before starting her PhD in Machine Learning she earned her BSc in Biomedical Sciences at Queen Mary University of London where she also helped analysing the data generated from gdT cells experiments in Prof. Pennington's Lab. Sara started her PhD in 2019 working under Prof. Pennington and Prof. Barnes. She's now focusing on modelling high-dimensional proteomic and genomic data, data visualisation and explainable AI.ResearchResearch Interests: Machine Learning in Medicine Explainable AI Examples of research funding:The Alan Turing Institute - Doctoral StudentsPublic Engagement Poster at WHRI Annual Review (2020)
