This year, Skills and Employability Week for Science and Engineering students is 3-7th March.

Diversity in STEM: Celebrating Women in STEM

Meet and network with employers and alumni who are working in STEM related roles. We'll be highlighting and sharing the career journeys of women in STEM, as we approach International Women's Day.

25/26 Placements & Internships - What to do now to hit the ground running

If you're thinking about applying for placements and internships in your next academic year, the time to prepare is now! This workshop will guide you through every step of where to find opportunities, how to apply and key timelines.

Tuesday 4th March

Alternative Careers in Healthcare

Hear from QMUL graduates and other healthcare professionals working in a range of exciting roles. Learn what their day-to-day involves, what it takes to succeed, and ask any question you like! Employers attending include The General Medical Counsel, Department for Health and Social Care, Royal Society of Medicine, and many others.

Career Essentials: Should I do a Masters?

If you're thinking about doing a masters degree, come to this session to learn more about what it will involve, what skills you need, and what the application process will look like.

Career Essentials: How to Succeed at Numerical Reasoning Tests

This is a hands-on session to equip you with the skills needed to succeed in these interview tests.

Gaining Research as an Undergraduate Student 

This session will help you take the first step by providing practical guidance on seeking research opportunities, gaining hands-on experience, and confidently approaching academics and research centres.

Thursday 6th March

Career Essentials: Career Overwhelm - Practical Steps to Move Forward in your Career Decisions

This session is designed to offer you practical support in knowing how to approach your career choices. Using actionable activities to help you reflect and make decisions, this session will support you to identify where you feel stuck  and offer next steps to move from overwhelmed to onwards and upwards.

Your STEM Skills in Intellectual Property

Are you interested in exploring how your scientific knowledge and skills could lead to a career in law? Join us to discover how your STEM background could launch an exciting career in Intellectual Property (IP) and Patent Law.
