QTaster

QTaster helps you explore your career options and gain insight into different companies and roles. It also helps those looking to acquire experience build their network and commercial awareness. QTaster is part of the Aspire career development programme, visit the Aspire page for more opportunities

Who can apply?

QTaster is open to current Undergraduate students.

How to participate 

You no longer need to submit an application. Each QTaster visit is a single event advertised on he Queen Mary Careers Hub, so you can book on there.

QTaster can help you to:

  • Increase your commercial awareness
  • Build your professional network
  • Grow your knowledge of different industries and roles
  • Increase your confidence

Successful completion of QTaster will appear on your HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Record). The programme is designed and structured to complement the development of your professional skills.

 

What will a QTaster session involve?

All QTaster sessions will take place in-person. These may include:

  • Presentations by different speakers from across the organisation;
  • Information about their internship and graduate recruitment processes;
  • Activities;
  • Facilitated networking sessions;
  • And, of course, the opportunity to ask lots of questions!

You will also attend an introductory session at the beginning of the programme and a career development session at the end of the programme. These training sessions will help you to make the most of the employer-led sessions and to apply your new commercial awareness and networking skills to shape your career choices.
