Who can participate in QTaster visits?

QTaster visits to employers are open to all current undergraduate students, regardless of discipline. The program is designed in collaboration with graduate employers to help undergraduates enter the job market. Some visits may be restricted or prioritised based on employers' recruitment targets, such as specific disciplines or positive action recruitment.

At Careers and Enterprise, we prioritise spaces for students from underrepresented backgrounds in Higher Education. This includes those receiving the QMUL Bursary and/or students identifying as Asian Bangladeshi or Asian British Bangladeshi. This positive action is based on the latest Graduate Outcomes Survey, which shows that Bangladeshi students' progression is lower than other ethnic groups, highlighting existing inequalities.

How to participate and visits schedule

To make participation easier, no application is required. Each QTaster visit is a standalone event listed on the Queen Mary Careers Hub, where you can register your interest. You may attend as many visits as space allows. Keep an eye on the upcoming visit schedule above, as registration opens periodically. Additionally, all students receive updates via our weekly Careers and Enterprise newsletter.

QTaster visits occur three times per academic year:

  • Semester A (October & November): Wednesday afternoons
  • After Easter Break & Before Exams: Weekday mornings and afternoons
  • Post-Exams (June): Weekday mornings and afternoons during the two weeks following end of exams
