Ana Carolina Cagnoni Ribeiro
Ana Carolina Cagnoni Ribeiro (Intellectual Property Law LLM, 2010) explains why she got involved with the chaper.
Why did you decide to get involved with the Brazil Chapter?
The Brazil Chapter was an opportunity that came along 10 years after my time at CCLS. As a result of an alumni dinner with Prof Duncan Matthews in São Paulo, I reconnected with colleagues and other alumni and this has been great to catch up. To be part of the chapter is to keep in touch with colleagues and the university more frequently and to support its growth.
What do you think the importance of the CCLS Brazil Chapter is?
The Chapter is important in maintaining networking among alumni and the university so that the advantages of having studied at QMUL are prolonged and additional new opportunities may arise . It is important also to create a community for the Brazilians at QMUL and to strengthen university links with Brazilians who plan to go to CCLS as well as those who have concluded their studies.
How do you hope the Chapter will benefit alumni who join?
I hope the Chapter creates a strong community among its members so that it allows the flourishment of new opportunities and interaction among members (in Brazil and abroad).
