CCLS Indonesia Chapter organiser Firdausi FirdausMy experience and commitment to supporting networking will benefit not only alumni and QMUL but also my fellow Indonesians, because I believe “great power comes with great responsibility” (quoted from Spiderman movie). As alumni who have already received significant knowledge and education, we have a responsibility to contribute positively towards Indonesian development and this community will be a tool to fulfill that aim.

As we are in the fourth industrial revolution and we are in pandemic era, we need collaboration because we are stronger together (Hillary Clinton slogan during her presidential campaign). Besides, it has always been our identity as Indonesians to be “Bhineka Tunggal Ika”(Unity in Diversity).

Thus, I am hoping that the CCLS Indonesia Chapter will be good for the alumni community in Indonesia because it can give us the chance to keep in touch and network. It can also expand our knowledge on many legal issues that happen either in Indonesia or overseas. In particular, the group can help those who have an impact on Indonesia with people from different backgrounds, and potentially can contribute to solutions to issues that Indonesia faces. After all, Ibi Societas Ibi Ius “wherever there is society there is law” (Cicero).

We welcome anyone from CCLS to be part of this family via the Indonesia Chapter - wherever you live, as long as you are proud to be Indonesian.
