Dr Sunil Abeyaratne has recently received a number of prestigious awards and appointments in his home country of Sri Lanka.
Dr Sunil Abeyaratne (Commercial and Corporate LLM, 2003) got in touch with CCLS to update us on his recent awards and achievements: ‘The University of Colombo awarded me a Doctor of Philosophy last month. The Ministry of Justice of Sri Lanka appointed me as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee to Review the E-Commerce Law. I am the current chair of the Communication, Data Protection and Technology Committee of LAWASIA.’
Sunil is the author of the first ever ICT Law book published in Sri Lanka titled Introduction to Information and Communication Technology Law, He has written number of articles related to ICT Law, e-Commerce, Criminal law and Writs for national and international law journals.
