The 2nd issue of IELR (Volume 3) is out, featuring a truly diverse selection of articles that challenge the existing status quo. We continue our efforts to bring Interactive Entertainment Law and the expertise of IELR authors and contributors to a wider audience through our online series.
During this event we explored the application of international taxation principles to the value created by user participation in video games, through engagement, interaction, user-generated content, data, and powerful network effects.
Navigating us through the mysterious world of taxes was Anna Vvedenskaya (‘Common features of video games and social networks: importance for international taxation’), Tamara Sakolchyk (Head of Legal & Business Practice at Wargaming), and Dr Bernard Schneider (Senior Lecturer in International Tax Law at CCLS). The event was hosted by Dr Michaela MacDonald.
