Duncan Matthews, Professor of Intellectual Property Law at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) addressed the European Parliament Legal Affairs Committee in Brussels on the Legal Consequences of Brexit for Intellectual Property. Focusing on the future prospects for the Unified Patent Court (UPC), he discussed whether or not it is possible for the UK to continue participating in the UPC after Brexit. He stressed the importance of the UK remaining within the UPC.
