Queen Mary academic wins award for book on Insurable Interest
Dr Franziska Arnold-Dwyer won the BILA Book Prize 2021 for her book ‘Insurable Interest and the Law’ published by Routledge.

She was awarded the prize jointly with Ayca Ucar.
The Prize is awarded annually by the British Insurance Law Association to the author (or joint authors) of a published work constituting in the opinion of the BILA Trustees the most notable contribution to literature in the field of insurance law. Read the BILA news story on Dr Arnold-Dwyer’s win.
Dr Arnold-Dwyer’s book assesses the role of the doctrine of insurable interest within modern insurance law by examining its rationales and suggesting how shortcomings could be fixed.
