We lead a number of major clinical trials, particularly in perioperative medicine.

These include cluster trial designs and individual patient randomised trials answering applied research questions, as well as translational / phase II clinical trials.

We are happy to announce that all trials conducted by the Critical Care and Peri-operative Medicine Research Group have resumed recruitment at Barts Health NHS Trust. During these unprecedented times, we must continue to do whatever we can to support both the national and international efforts to control the spread of the virus. Our thoughts are with all those who have been and will be affected by COVID-19 around the world.
