In-SPYRE network: In-Sharing Practice, Youth-oriented Research Experiences

Published:

QM Centre for Creative Collaboration are excited to announce the launch of In-SPYRE (In-Sharing Practice, Youth-oriented Research Experiences), a new research network at Queen Mary University of London. In-SPYRE provides an open, interdisciplinary space for researchers to share ideas and experiences in youth-oriented and participatory research with young people.

The network aims to foster collaboration across the faculties of medicine, science, and humanities, celebrating the university's expertise in creative methodologies and developing new opportunities for youth-focused research.

In-SPYRE's introductory meeting will take place on Wednesday, 16th October 2024, from 2-3 pm. The session will explore the theme of Researching Young People's Lived Experiences and will feature presentations by Kath Evans, Director of Children’s Nursing at Barts Health, and Pedro Andres Perez Rothstein, PhD student, showcasing ongoing youth research.

In-SPYRE is led by Jenny Hewitt, Peer Research Postdoctoral Researcher, who is actively involved in developing the network. This event builds on the QM Centre for Creative Collaboration’s ongoing efforts to support young researchers in both creative and academic initiatives, as seen in our recent projects. We’ve been working closely with young people to amplify their voices and enhance their involvement in research.
