Géraldine Bugnon is professor at the University of Fribourg - Department of social work and social policies - and holds a PhD in sociology from the Universities of Geneva and Lille 1. Her research explores the state regulation of "dangerous" and "at risk" children in different social and legal contexts. She has conducted research on juvenile justice and child protection in Switzerland, France and Brazil. She is currently working on the judicialization of child protection and on victim-offender mediation in Switzerland.
