Professor Michalis Kontopodis

Profile

Prof Michalis Kontopodis is a Chair in Global Childhood & Youth Studies at the University of Leeds. In collaboration with a wide network of practitioners, NGOs and youth organisations, Prof Kontopodis conducts research on children's and young people's futures in diverse geographical settings. As a first-generation student and immigrant to the UK, he is committed to working on inclusion, education and globalisation "from below". His books, edited volumes and journal articles have been published in six languages.
