Yvonne Vissing, PhD, is a sociologist, founding director of the Center for Childhood & Youth Studies and Professor of Healthcare Studies at Salem State University in Massachusetts USA. She is author of over 20 books, including Children's Human Rights in the USA: Challenges and Opportunities (Springer 2023) and Changing the Paradigm of Homelessness (Routledge 2020). Vissing is a clinical sociologist and on the Human Rights Council for the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Steering Committee of Human Rights Educators USA, US Policy Chair for the Hope for Children CRC Policy Center in Cyprus, and on the research committee for the Universities Network for Children in Armed Conflict, and member of the International and American Sociological Associations.
