Mixed Reality
With the emergence of immersive learning technology such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality, and with extensive research into how this new technology could be used to improve the student learning experience, the Institute of Dentistry undertook a pilot project using TINALP.
TINALP allows teachers to upload slides, videos, audio, images and most importantly 3D models, either from intra oral scanners, dental CAD software, 3d printers, 3d software or Haptic dental trainers (export of student 3d models after preparation on haptics).
TINALP allows the teacher and students to interact within Mixed Reality (MR) - via a HoloLens, VR devices, the TINALP app (mobile phones, tablets) and a web app.
