He went on to work in general dental practice in the South East of England for many years. Sinclair joined QMUL as a part time Adult Restorative Clinical Lecturer in 2011, and accepted a full-time position in 2018. During this time, he has been a personal tutor and academic advisor and was BDS Year 4 academic lead from 2018-2023. Sinclair is dedicated to continual learning and development. He completed a Certificate in Learning and Teaching and has since achieved FHEA status. He has completed a Certificate in Restorative dentistry (2010), PG Certificate in Dental Law and Ethics (2018) and an MSc with distinction in Endodontics (2021), along side a wide variety of CPD. Sinclair is currently the Co-Director of Undergraduate Dental Education (QMUL) and is a DWSI in endodontics for Bart’s Health NHS Trust. He is also a core examiner for the Royal College of Surgeon’s LDS examinations. This includes delivering lectures/seminars, leading on clinical skills lab based sessions and supervising student patient clinics. Sinclair has also been invited to lecture externally for dental foundation training schemes and introduction to dentistry careers workshops for students considering dentistry as a vocation. ResearchResearch Interests:Sinclair has presented his work based on ‘Mentoring Final Year Dental Students’ at the Association of Dental Education Europe Conference (Berlin, 2019). Sinclair has also helped to support Endodontic MSc research projects.
