Profile

Rajan qualified from the University of Manchester in 2002. He has a wide range of expertise in general dentistry and a special interest in endodontic treatment. Rajan works part-time as an Honorary Lecturer in Endodontics in the Institute of Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, where he teaches postgraduate endodontic students and is involved in research. He is the owner and Principal Dentist at Infinity Dental Care, where he accepts referrals from other dentists for root canal treatment of both routine and challenging teeth, that would otherwise have to be extracted.

Rajan has dedicated himself to postgraduate study and training to develop his skills and knowledge. In 2008, Rajan obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice at the Eastman Dental Institute of UCL, and in 2014, a Certificate in Endodontic Practice from the Academy of Advanced Endodontics. Rajan completed a three-year Master of Science degree in Endodontic Practice at Queen Mary University of London, graduating with Merit in 2019. He is a member of the British Endodontic Society and the European Society of Endodontology.

Rajan was a member of the editorial board of Dentistry magazine for a decade, during which time he wrote several articles for the publication. He has served as an elected member of the Local Dental Committee of the London Federation and has also put his abilities to use as a volunteer at a dental clinic in rural Rajasthan, India.

Teaching

Rajan teaches postgraduate students on the MSc. in Endodontic Practice course through a variety of lectures, seminars, and hands-on skills demonstrations.

Research

Research Interests:

Rajan has a special interest in the use of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) in endodontics and is due to present his research at the British Endodontic Society spring scientific meeting. He is also interested in obturation methods, with a particular focus on the single cone obturation technique.
