Help shape GradFest 2025!
The Doctoral College is excited to announce the return of GradFest in 2025! And you can play a key role in developing this event for you and your fellow PGRs!

GradFest is a showcase of activities and events organised by PGR students, for PGR students. The aim is to encourage conversations between researchers across the diverse disciplines at Queen Mary.
This year, GradFest will run during May. We are currently looking for enthusiastic PGRs to join our Steering Group (SG). Supported by the Doctoral College, you will have the chance to identify and deliver three to four big-ticket events that form the foundation of GradFest and to act as the selection committee for smaller events. Your input will help to make Gradfest a success! The budget for the events is provided by the Doctoral College.
This is a voluntary role and we anticipate that SG members will spend approximately 2-3 hours a week (on average) on the organisation and delivery of GradFest. SG members will develop a number of transferable skills, including:
- event management;
- time management;
- networking and collaboration;
- project management;
- and budget management.
You also get the opportunity to contribute to PGR training and development in creative ways.
Timeline:
Organisation and development of GradFest will take place from late February through to May. You will then help deliver GradFest in mid May!
If you are interested in applying for the SG, please read the following role description: Role Description - GradFest Steering Group 2025 [DOC 31KB] and submit your application via this application form by 12:00 (noon) GMT on Monday 17 February.
