Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Experimental Particle Physics - closing date 02 July 2020
A 6-month PDRA opening has just been advertised in the School of Physics and Astronomy (SPA), something ideal for a PhD student who is just about to submit their PhD. This is to work on developing a proof-of-concept air quality prediction system that will provide hyper-local, dynamic air quality forecasts for Mexico City using existing open data sources. In particular, openly available traffic intensity data sourced from mobile phones will be used to mitigate the lower density of sensors in Mexico City.
Details are here: https://webapps2.is.qmul.ac.uk/jobs/job.action?jobID=5223 General enquiries about the School of Physics and Astronomy, the School of Mathematics (SMS), the SAPIENS project and informal enquiries about this post should be addressed to Dr Marcella Bona at m.bona@qmul.ac.uk, stating the position code SAPIENS-PDRA.
This is a collaborative project between Dr Marcella Bona in SPA and Prof. John Moriarty in SMS.
