It will come as no surprise that we were left with no choice but to postpone the Student Mental Health: Responding to the Crisis that was due to be held in London on the 5th May 2020. We have now consulted with all the speakers and sponsors and we are delighted to inform you that the event has now been scheduled in for the 6th October 2020 at the Ambassadors Hotel, Bloomsbury in London. We will include in the programme mental health issues caused by the covid-19 virus. Delegates will explore why more students are turning to unconventional incomes like gambling and sex work during their studies, how the university experience can compound cultural and environmental conditions that lead students to access and supply drugs; and discussing how cross-institutional co-operation as well as legislative review of attitudes towards information sharing could prevent students reaching a point of crisis.
