It will take a playful approach to exploring the voice and language of our creative selves while bringing to life personal interpretations of this moment in time.

The underrepresentation of black and mixed ethnic women in academic publishing reflects the startling fact that in 2019 there were still only twenty five Black female Professors in the UK . What does this mean in terms of the voices and perspectives that are being less heard in and beyond HEI’s?

This lunch time session is primarily for black and mixed ethnic women PhD students, researchers and professors, and creative and cultural professionals who work in collaboration with the academy. It is an opportunity to enjoy a purposeful space for experimentation, sharing and discussion around the creativity and personal rhythm of writing. How might this feed into resilience and confidence alongside publishing aspirations for those within and connected to HEI’s?

Academics and staff from TCCE member institutions are guaranteed a place (please use your institutional email to book in order to avoid confusion), other places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so please book promptly to avoid disappointment.
