Queen Mary has an innovative and vibrant research community in which all our PhD students play an important part.

The Doctoral College enhances postgraduate research student experience by cultivating a lively and innovative cross- and inter-disciplinary community of researchers, working in partnership with academic Schools and Institutes, Professional Services and Queen Mary’s Research Council-funded Doctoral Training Centres and Doctoral Training Partnerships.

We provide events and activities tailored specifically to PhD students – including a college wide induction for all new students, cohort training days, and an annual Graduate Festival – designed to further develop our students’ research skills, foster conversations and collaborations between our research students and staff, and promote a cohesive and supportive PhD community.
