ARQ (Advanced robotics @Queen Mary) would like to invite you to the following seminar.
Abstract. This seminar presents an overview of various research topics related to wearable systems including: wearable gait and posture assessment and training, wrist-worn hand gesture recognition, foot progression angle measurement through smart shoes and strap-on sensors, and IMU-based kinematic algorithms. Bio: Peter B. Shull received the Ph.D. degree from Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering in 2012, and he is currently an Associate Professor in the Robotics Institute in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He has received several awards including the China 1000 Young Talents Award in 2013 and the Shanghai Young Talents Award in 2014. His research interests include wearable systems, real-time movement sensing and feedback, gait retraining, and biomechanics.
