He received his PhD degree in Electronic Engineering from QMUL in 2021. Before he started his PhD, he worked in the telecommunications industry as an R&D software engineer and then as a division manager. He joined QMUL as a lecturer in the School of EECS in 2021. He has been teaching for the QMUL-BUPT Joint Programme since September 2021. His teaching covers a wide range in the subject areas of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. He is currently the Co-Head of the Data Analytics Scholarship working group in the School of EECS at QMUL. His research interests include machine-learning-aided antenna/circuit design, data-driven education, Learner Engagement Analytics (LEA) informed pedagogy, and AI-enabled personalised education. He has authored and co-authored over 20 journal and conference papers, 1 book chapter, and he holds 13 granted patents. He is a reviewer of several reputable journals and conferences in his subject area, including IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, IEEE Access, Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, Physical Communication. He is also a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification holder since 2015.TeachingEBU5601 Data Design (Module Organiser) This module covers the fundamental theory and practice of data analysis, and provides an introduction to the data analysis process, including data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, drawing conclusions and communicating findings, as well as data ethics across the data life cycle. Students will learn essential skills including describing data, understanding probability theory, designing experiments, interpreting statistical results, applying statistical models and visualising data with Python and in-demand Python libraries like Numpy, pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib and seaborn, etc. EBU4202 Digital Circuit Design The module is concerned with the design of digital electronic circuits. The principles of number systems and codes, combinational and sequential logic design and the fundamentals of digital hardware design are covered. EBU6444 Communication Systems Electronics (Module Organiser) The course presents the operation principles of analogue and digital communication systems. It includes the analysis and design of various sub-systems in the modulator and demodulator of the systems. EBU6475 Microprocessor Systems Design (Module Organiser) The course examines the structure, programming and applications of microprocessor and microcontroller devices (e.g. 8051, ARM) for embedded computing. It covers the computing model for programmers, controls for hardware devices and common interface techniques. In laboratory exercises, students will be instructed to program lab boards using assembly language and C language. EBU6503 Control Theory (Module Organiser) This module introduces control theory and its applications to the measurement, processing and regulation of electronic signals found in open-loop and closed-loop interconnected systems. It includes the principles of operation of sensors that allow the attributes of physical devices to be measured. EBU7405 3D Graphics Programming Tools This course introduces students to the basics of 3D graphics and to software tools commonly used in the design of virtual environments and games. In particular the course covers 3D object modelling, camera models, transformations, lighting, clipping and rasterisation.
