Project title:

Multimodal AI for musical collaboration in immersive environments (in collaboration with PatchXR)

Abstract:

In this research, Artificial Intelligence methods will be investigated and designed to generate realistic and expressive mockups of orchestral arrangements using digital audio workstations, in order to assist film directors in evaluating potential soundtracks. The study aims to identify the relationship between music structure and expressive features at the instrument- and orchestral-levels, and apply the observed pattern to the development of deep learning (DL) methods for automatic control on musical attributes such as dynamics, timbre, and articulations through parameter prediction.
