An internal interdisciplinary seminar for QMUL academics and PhD & MA students, part of IHSS Visiting Fellow Dr Elisabeth Leake's (Tufts University) events 

This interdisciplinary seminar will involve an informal discussion of precirculated work in progress by Professor Leake as part of her book project on a Global History of Decolonisation. It will engage with decolonisation in Latin America in the Age of Revolutions.

Dr Elisabeth Leake (Tufts University) is an the Lee E. Dirks Chair in Diplomatic History at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and an Associate Professor of History in the Department of History at Tufts University. She is the author of The Defiant Border: The Afghan-Pakistan Borderlands in the Era of Decolonization, 1936-1965 (CUP, 2016) and Afghan Crucible: The Soviet Invasion and the Making of Modern Afghanistan (OUP, 2022).
