The workshop is a part of the Imagination Days 2 events, organised by Maks Del Mar, the IHSS Imagination Research Network convenor.
About the Event
This workshop explores the long traditions of imagining nature, across many forms - especially, but not only poetry - and pays attention to the epistemic and political life of such imaginings. This includes, for instance, the influence of Lucretius and his poetry on the laws of the sea, the relations between poetic imaginings and the practice of philosophy, and varieties of imagining nature (including human nature) in science and economics.
