The second event of the series will focus on Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Violence against Women and will bring together Isadora Cruxên (School of Business and Management) and Jane Freeland (School of History). Dr Isadora Cruxên is a Lecturer in Business and Society, and a research affiliate at the Data + Feminism Lab at MIT, where she co-leads the project Data Against Feminicide. Dr Jane Freeland is a Lecturer in History and IHSS Fellow and has recently published the award-winning book Feminist Transformations and Domestic Violence Activism in Divided Berlin, 1968-2002 (OUP, 2022).

Their conversation will be chaired by Dr Delfi Nieto-Isabel (School of History, IHSS Fellow) who works on women, transgression, exclusion and persecution in the Middle Ages.

Everybody is welcome and lunch will be provided!

About the Gender Forums

The Gender Forums are a series of events whose aim is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and networks around the study of women, gender, and sexuality. Each event is organised as a conversation between scholars from across and beyond HSS, including PhD students, ECRs and Global Professorial Fellows.
