The EVOluTION Annual Network Meeting and Second Transferable Skills Training event took place in Dublin, Ireland from Wednesday the 24th – Friday the 26th of May, 2017. This meeting was an opportunity for the ESRs to give an update on their project, get advice and form new collaborations. In addition, a superb line up of external speakers from Ireland and beyond gave talks ranging from genomics, pharmacology and diabetes to tips for PhD students involved in MSCA ITNs. The executive and steering board meeting was also held at this time and a clear strategy for the next year was established by the board members.
On Friday the 26th of May a Transferable Skills Training course was held on Knowledge communication: Science, Media and Communication. The ESRs heard some fantastic talks from Dr Elaine Quinn, the communications and education Institute Manager at the Conway Institute of Biomolecular and Biomedical Research and Dr David Fox of Vulpine Science.
