Network
EVOluTION is founded on a close interaction/inter-dependence of academic and non-academic institutions.
The strong inter-sectorial (5 Universities, 5 SMEs, 2 Large companies, 1 Policy-maker, and 1 Patent & trade firm) and the international (6 European countries) character of the programme offers a training platform where exposure to different research/training environments and cultures is guaranteed.
Host institutions
All EVOluTION research institutions are worldwide renowned for their research in pharmacology, endocrinology, physiology, cardiovascular and inflammatory physiopathology, and for their leadership in the areas of resolution pharmacology, vascular inflammation, dietary nutraceuticals, intravital optical imaging, nitric oxide, platelet biology and eicosanoids, vascular biochemistry, computational chemistry, and drug discovery.
The central role of the non-academic institutions highlights the commitment to translating scientific training into practice, strengthening private-public links essential not only to the success of the EU2020 strategy, but also for economic and social well-being.
