Dr Silvia Oggero
A very happy milestone for EVOluTION was reached in late April 2022 when Dr Silvia Oggero received her PhD from Queen Mary University of London in the first in-person graduation ceremony since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Silvia, who is currently working at King's College London as postdoctoral research assistant under Professor Marzia Malcangio, was flanked by her family and PhD supervisor Professor Mauro Perretti.
The EVOluTION programme is very proud of Silvia and all other EVOluTION ESRs, many of whom completed their research and passed their vivas in the height of the pandemic and who have embarked on an extraordinary career as scientists and future research leaders.
