Sanne’s first review article for EVOluTION was published in the November edition of Frontiers in Immunology.

The article entitled “Organ-Specific Mechanisms of Transendothelial Neutrophil Migration in the Lung, Liver, Kidney, and Aorta” gives a detailed account of our current understanding on leukocyte recruitment and the variation that exists in different organs. In particular, this review focuses on neutrophils, as these are the first circulating leukocytes to reach the site of inflammation. The recruitment mechanism in large arteries, as well as vessels in the lungs, liver, and kidney are also addressed. To read the article in full please click here.
